In Wii Sports Resort, there are 12 playable Characters to choose from. Every character has their own unique Mii outfit and voice. There are 6 male characters and 6 female characters.
Wii Sports Resort is the first game to feature Miis as playable characters outside of Mii Plaza Games and the first game where you could play as your own Mii without scanning it in using the Wii Remote.
The default characters are Matt, Mia, Ren, Mike, Abby, Kate, Lucas, Eva, Patrick, Emma, David and Elizabeth.
Wii Sports Resort Locations
Wii Sports Resort takes place on a fictional island called Wuhu Island. The island is divided into four main areas: the BEACH, the MOUNTAIN, the CITY, and the AIRPORT. Each area has its own set of activities that can be enjoyed.
The BEACH is home to water-based activities such as Wakeboarding, Power Cruising, Canoeing, and Frisbee.
The MOUNTAIN is home to land-based activities such as Hiking, Mountain Biking, and Archery.
The CITY is home to a variety of activities such as Bowling, Table Tennis, Golf, and Cycling.
The AIRPORT is home to one of the most popular attractions on the island: Skydiving.
Wii Sports Resort Equipment
In order to play Wii Sports Resort, you will need the Wii MotionPlus accessory. This accessory attaches to the bottom of your Wii Remote and tracks your movements in 3D. Wii Sports Resort also comes with a special wrist strap that helps to stabilize the Wii MotionPlus during play.
In addition to the Wii MotionPlus, you will also need a Nunchuk controller. The Nunchuk controller attaches to the bottom of your Wii Remote and is used for additional game control options. For example, in the game Swordplay, you will use the Nunchuk controller to move your character around the screen and swing your sword.
Wii Sports Resort also includes a physical game disc. This disc must be inserted into your Wii console in order to play the game. The game disc includes 12 different sports and activities, as well as other features such as Mii Plaza and Miiverse integration.
